Big Statues recently completed this custom bronze Ferris wheel and American flag sculpture for the Nebraska State Fair in Grand Island, Nebraska.
The piece was created to celebrate the history, tradition, and community spirit connected to the State Fair. Featuring a detailed Ferris wheel paired with the American flag, the sculpture brings together two recognizable symbols in a permanent public artwork designed to be enjoyed by visitors for years to come.
From the early sculpting stages through casting, finishing, patina, and final installation, each part of the piece was carefully crafted to create a finished sculpture that feels both timeless and connected to its setting.
The sculpture is now installed at the Nebraska State Fairgrounds in Grand Island, where it serves as a lasting tribute to the fair and the community that surrounds it.
